Rain is no obstacle when the smiles of the contest participants are so warm! The creators of the most beautiful floral carpets have been awarded.
On Saturday, July 26, the uncertain weather forecast in Anykščiai caused some concern, so the awards ceremony of the international floral carpet competition “Festival by the Šventoji” was moved from A. Baranauskas Square to the cozy Angels Museum.
During the event, teams and winners were honored and received their prizes. The cultural program featured a performance by the traditional kanklės (Baltic zither) ensemble Laumakė from the Anykščiai Cultural Center, led by Asta Motuzienė.
Words of greeting were delivered by Kęstutis Tubis, Mayor of Anykščiai District Municipality, Tomas Tuskenis, Director of the Anykščiai Arts Center, and head of the jury, florist Eugenija Sudeikienė.
