As the festive season approaches, we invite you to look sensitively at the nature around us and discover its beauty. A special exhibition of Laima Dzigaitė’s herb-based graphics, „Pakviestiems į Tylą“ has opened at the Angel Museum.
“Herbs are like visible signs of an invisible Creator, revealing paradise on earth. With my artworks, I want to speak about the importance of loving and marveling at the wonderful nature we have been given. I create only in winter, when life in nature fades — in my studio the herbs are reborn into a different kind of life,” says Laima Dzigaitė.
Over her long period of artistic exploration, the author has tried a wide range of techniques, from graphics, watercolor, and batik to woodcarving. For nearly twenty years, however, she has been working in a unique technique that artist V. Žukas has called “herb graphics”: she draws inspiration from nature and uses dried plants and grasses in her works.
The exhibition is complemented by a 2026 calendar and postcards featuring Dzigaitė’s artwork. Postcards are priced at 2eur and the calendar at 12eur.
We will soon invite you to take part in a creative workshop with the artist.
