During the evening we will honor the winners and participants of the Beatri\u010d\u0117 Kleizait\u0117\u2011Vasaris Art Awards competition and celebrate the Angel Museum\u2019s fifteenth birthday.   <\/h5>\n<h5>A concert program will be presented by Judita Leitait\u0117 (mezzosoprano), Beata Andriu\u0161kevi\u010dien\u0117 (piano) and Virginija Kochanskyt\u0117 (actress and event host).<\/h5>\n<h5>The national competition for angel-sculpture artworks\u2014part of the Beatri\u010d\u0117 Kleizait\u0117\u2011Vasaris Art Awards and organized by the Anyk\u0161\u010diai Arts Centre\u2014has attracted 28 sculptors from across Lithuania.<\/h5>\n<h5>Their submissions are now on display in the Angel Museum\u2019s exhibition space. Visitors are invited to view the works and vote for their favorite; the sculpture receiving the most votes will be awarded the Audience Choice prize.  <\/h5>\n<h5>Throughout 2025, in honor of the bright memory of our cultural patron \u2014an \u00e9migr\u00e9 to the United States and a tireless promoter of Lithuanian art\u2014there will be exhibitions (and accompanying events) featuring renowned Lithuanian diaspora sculptors and painters: Vytautas Ka\u0161uba, Adomas Galdikas and Vytautas Ignas.<\/h5>\n<h5>There are two museums in Lithuania founded on collections donated by Beatri\u010d\u0117 Kleizait\u0117\u2011Vasaris:<br \/>Angel Museum, Anyk\u0161\u010diai Arts Centre (Vilniaus St. 11), Beatri\u010d\u0117 Kleizait\u0117\u2011Vasaris Art Gallery, Marijampol\u0117 (Meil\u0117s Luk\u0161ien\u0117 Education Centre, P. Butlerien\u0117s St. 5), showcasing Lithuanian diaspora art In addition, thousands of \u00e9migr\u00e9 artworks she brought from the U.S. are held in the National Art Museums of Vilnius and Kaunas, \u201cAlka\u201d in Tel\u0161iai, the Samogitian Art Museum in Plung\u0117, and other institutions. <\/h5>\n<h5>By her will, Beatri\u010d\u0117 Kleizait\u0117\u2011Vasaris bequeathed \u20ac25,000 to the Anyk\u0161\u010diai Arts Centre specifically to fund this national competition, which unfolds in two phases: main competition in 2025, the centennial of her birth and educational \u201cangel\u201d theme competitions in 2026, 2027, 2028, and 2029.<\/h5>\n<h5>The author of the striking, original book Angels, Beatri\u010d\u0117 Kleizait\u0117\u2011Vasaris, envisioned this competition of angel\u2011themed sculptural works as a way to inspire professional artists to explore this theological and aesthetic subject\u2014and for the piece awarded the main 2025 prize to become part of the Angel Museum\u2019s permanent collection. <\/h5>\n<h5>A national jury will evaluate all submissions and, by July 22, 2025, select the winners: a \u20ac7,000 main prize and two encouragement awards of \u20ac2,000 and \u20ac1,000.   <\/h5>\n<h5>Comprising esteemed art experts, the jury will judge entries on originality, creativity, artistry, and aesthetic quality; any works not meeting the competition requirements will be disqualified. <\/h5>\n<h5>All participants are invited to the closing ceremony marking the 100th anniversary of Beatri\u010d\u0117 Kleizait\u0117\u2011Vasaris\u2019s birth, to be held on the Angel Museum\u2019s founding day\u2014July 22, 2025. There, the jury\u2019s decisions will be announced and prizes presented.
