The exhibition will be open until the end of June. We warmly invite you to visit!  <\/strong><\/h5>\n<h5>\u201cVytautas Ignas is among the most prominent Lithuanian \u00e9migr\u00e9 artists who, while living abroad, remained devoted to nurturing the traditions of Lithuanian folk art. He gave these traditions a modern expressive form and broadened the concept of folk art in his creative work. A poetic soul, his paintings breathe with a quiet, dreamy spiritual world and unfold a symbolic, fairytale-like lyricism. Early in his career influenced by Expressionism, Ignas later longed for more enduring values and sought his roots in national culture. Surrounded by modernism, he stayed true to pure painting. He skillfully employed its expressive possibilities, using the decorative play of brushstrokes to convey emotional clarity and a lyrical mood.
