For over half a century, its people have been living in exile, taking refuge in refugee settlements in neighboring Algeria\u2014still within the vast Sahara Desert.<\/h5>\n<h5>This January, Andrius Ma\u017eeika\u2014a traveler and photographic artist born in Suvalkija\u2014spent an entire month living in one of these settlements. He listened to the people\u2019s stories, participated in their daily lives, asked about the desert, and told them about Lithuania. Warmly welcomed, he invited the desert dwellers to visit us in return.<br \/>\nWe invite you to join us for an evening of stories from the desert on May 7 at 6:00 PM at the Angels Museum \u2013 Center for Sacred Art (11 Vilniaus St., Anyk\u0161\u010diai).    <\/h5>\n<h5>The exhibition and gathering are part of the project \u201cBuilding Cultural and Civic Ties between Lithuania and Western Sahara\u201d, implemented by the public institution Istorne\u0161iai.
