You are invited to the opening of the group painting exhibition “Širdis ir Vinis” on Friday, March 20 at 6:00 PM at the Chapel – the Cultural Creation Center of Anykštėnai of the World. The exhibition presents a collection of works produced during plein-air sessions held at the Troškūnai Bernardine Monastery. The opening will feature the plein-air initiator and patron, Rev. Canon Saulius Filipavičius, artists from Kaunas and Vilnius, and the exhibition’s curator A. Bankauskaitė.
This exhibition is the result of a creative collaboration between artists from Vilnius and Kaunas, revealing varied artistic experiences and individual perspectives on place, time, and inner states. The plein-air sessions held within the monastery’s spaces served as a source of inspiration for works that weave together motifs of architecture, nature, history, and personal experience.
The exhibited works invite viewers to look at the monastery’s surroundings through the artists’ interpretations. Each piece communicates the emotions and the spirit of the place encountered during the creative process.
The opening of “Širdis ir Vinis” is an opportunity to meet the artists, learn more about the works created during the plein-air sessions, and experience the shared creative atmosphere.
During the event, music will be performed by Anykščiai-born pianist Guoda Indriūnaitė.
